I think I found a new quote to add to the favorites… foundingmyground: Ichi go, ichi e.  Basically means ‘one moment, one chance’.  I had just wiped easily 20 years of dust from this shelf revealing a lush and rich surface, and the chalk was just sitting there.

foundingmyground: Wheel thrown and altered.  Saggar fired stoneware in a gas kiln to cone 10.  No applied glazes or flashing slips.  Combustible materials only filled the brick saggar partially.  Materials burned include mixed hardwood and softwood, charcoal, and salts.
